Caviar formed in Chicago in 1998 and has rapidly become one of the new contenders of the Chicago music scene. Featuring two members of the now-defunct Fig Dish, the band now takes a different approach to the nusic, incorporating samples into their guitar-driven rock.

The band has had its songs fratured on Chicago's Q101 FM radio, on the Q101 "local 101, Vol.2" compilation CD, on an episode on TV's popular Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and in the feature films, Gone in 60 Seconds and Charlie's Angels. Their single "Tangerine Speedo" is making its way through the modern rock charts. "Goldmine," the band's second single, will released to radio soon.
